- previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role
- knowledge of health and safety regulations
- reliable and punctual
- ability to work variable shifts including nights and weekends
- physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- good personal hygiene and clean appearance
- ability to follow instructions and safety procedures

Job Duties
- Prepares daily preparation lists for production
- reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
- prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and as specified on guest check to ensure consistency of product
- visually inspects, selects, and uses only food items of the highest standard in preparation of all menu items
- checks and controls proper storage of product, especially portion control in specific cuts of meat to maintain quality
- keeps refrigeration, equipment, storage, and working areas clean and in working condition to comply with health department regulations
- maintains all logs including cooling, heating, and temperature
- adheres to all company policies and procedures
- follows safety and security procedures and rules
- knows fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilizes protective equipment
- reports unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management
- provides for a safe work environment by following safety procedures
- maintains a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- performs related duties as requested by management
- assists other kitchen personnel when needed
