Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in cooking and food preparation
- Ability to work varying shifts including evenings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to recipes
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a line cook or similar role in food preparation
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and special dietary requirements
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and menu plans
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality
- Prior experience in a healthcare or retirement community setting preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus
- Prepare food for therapeutic diets in accordance with planned menus
- Prepare and serve alternative menu items as needed
- Assist in food preparation for special meals, parties, etc
- Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis
