Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 to apply
  • received high school diploma or GED
  • current ServeSafe certification required
  • ability to take directions and effectively perform work
  • minimum 1 year experience in food service
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • must be able to lift 25 pounds to waist
  • ability to stand for long hours
  • effective verbal communication
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service
  • prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold food items
  • properly label and date food items for storage
  • stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products to assure a smooth service period
  • assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen walk-in and storage areas
  • comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
  • use food preparation tools according to manufacturer instructions
  • close the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times
  • prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • constant use of safe and hygienic food handling practices
  • return dirty food preparation utensils to appropriate areas
  • assist with all duties as assigned by Executive Chef
