Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Hold current ServeSafe certification
  • Ability to take directions and effectively perform work
  • At least one year experience in food service preparing meals
  • Ability to produce quality food in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and customer service oriented
  • Good work ethic
  • Strong knowledge of sanitary practices
  • Maintain proper grooming and dress code standards
  • Ability to work with other staff members
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physically able to lift 25 pounds to waist
  • Able to stand for long hours
  • Ability to stoop and move around facility

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service
  • Prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold food items
  • Properly label and date food items for storage
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products to assure a smooth service period
  • Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen walk-in coolers and storage areas
  • Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
  • Use food preparation tools according to manufacturer instructions
  • Close the kitchen correctly following the closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices
  • Return dirty food preparation utensils to appropriate areas
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef
