Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year cooking experience in a restaurant
- Understanding of kitchen methods and procedures and knife handling skills
- Ability to perform tasks with precision, speed and attention to detail
- Ability to read and follow kitchen instructions
- Must be organized and self-motivated
- Ability to see, hear and speak verbally and audibly
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop and kneel
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
- Ability to drive or travel for business purposes
- Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced working environment
- Must report to work free from sedatives and disclose pharmaceuticals that may impair job function
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- 4+ years of line cook experience preferred
- Be a multitask master in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to recreate recipes as per standards
- Knowledgeable about food safety standards and restaurant cleanliness
- Willing to go the extra mile to create the ultimate guest experience
- Knowledgeable about the menu and the varying products carried
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- Safely utilize a variety of utensils and kitchen equipment including knives, ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
- Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
