Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year cooking experience in a restaurant
  • Understanding of kitchen methods and procedures and knife handling skills
  • Ability to perform tasks with precision, speed and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and follow kitchen instructions
  • Must be organized and self-motivated
  • Ability to see, hear and speak verbally and audibly
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to bend, stoop and kneel
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to drive or travel for business purposes
  • Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced working environment
  • Must report to work free from sedatives and disclose pharmaceuticals that may impair job function

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • 4+ years of line cook experience preferred
  • Be a multitask master in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to recreate recipes as per standards
  • Knowledgeable about food safety standards and restaurant cleanliness
  • Willing to go the extra mile to create the ultimate guest experience
  • Knowledgeable about the menu and the varying products carried

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • Safely utilize a variety of utensils and kitchen equipment including knives, ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
  • Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
  • Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
