Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Open availability for shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow safety procedures and health regulations
- Valid Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain during training
- Strong physical stamina to stand and move throughout shifts
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and maintain attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working as a line cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and managers
- Ability to memorize and follow recipes, accurately measure ingredients, and adhere to food preparation guidelines
- Demonstrated skill in knife handling and proficiency with kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices
- A valid Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain during training as required by law
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and kneel for the duration of the shift
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain composure in a fast-paced setting while ensuring high-quality results
Job Duties
- Prepare, cook, and plate food to order according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
- Follow safety protocols and kitchen practices to ensure a safe working environment
- Set up and maintain an organized, clean kitchen station daily, ensuring all ingredients, tools, and equipment are stocked
- Properly handle, store, and rotate ingredients using FIFO to maintain quality and freshness
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning
- Complete prep lists and other kitchen checklists before service begins
- Execute cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment
- Communicate with the manager at shift start and end to ensure smooth operations
- Perform additional tasks as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations
