Job Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of Japanese cuisine cooking methods
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

  • Excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a line cook or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors preferred
  • A genuine love for culinary experiences and a passion for Japanese cuisine
  • A natural team player who works well in a team
  • Friendly and customer-oriented with skills in creating memorable dining experiences

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese-inspired dishes according to Zuma's recipes and standards
  • Work efficiently on the hot line, grill, or other designated stations as assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef
  • Execute all food orders with accuracy and consistency, ensuring timely delivery to guests
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and food presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas
