Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
- comfortable working alone and managing multiple responsibilities without direct supervision

- ability to receive, organize, and maintain inventory, including lifting heavy boxes daily

- ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)

Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using appropriate kitchen equipment
- work independently to execute all food preparation and service during assigned shifts
- assume 100% responsibility for the quality, consistency, and presentation of all food served
- follow standard portion sizes, recipes, cooking methods, and all kitchen policies and procedures
- stock and maintain adequate food levels at the line to ensure smooth service
- portion food products prior to cooking according to established specifications
- wash, sanitize, and put away your own dishes, cookware, and utensils throughout the shift
- maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, including workstations, equipment, storage areas, walk-ins, and refrigeration
- handle, store, label, and rotate products properly following food safety standards
- prepare items for guest consumption following all safety and sanitation practices
- follow proper plate presentation and garnish standards
- assist with prep work during off-peak periods as needed
- close the kitchen independently, completing all cleaning and closing checklists
- attend scheduled staff meetings and contribute ideas for improvement
- perform other duties as assigned by the Café Manager or Manager-on-Duty
