Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience as a cook
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety standards
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina
  • Strong organizational and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform moderate physical work including lifting up to 40 lbs frequently
  • Availability to work shifts as assigned
  • Maintain Food Handlers or Managers Certificate

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as cook
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bake ware
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods including grilling, baking, and boiling
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Very good communication skills
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Diploma from a culinary school is an advantage

Job Duties

  • Comply with written standardized food recipes and beverages to ensure the production of consistent quality and portion control
  • Receive and check food and supplies into the kitchen and storerooms including inspecting the condition of contents and freshness of products
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas as instructed by the Chef or General Manager
  • Complete opening and closing checklists as outlined by the Chef or General Manager
  • Protect the assets of the Club
  • Operate within established guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints
  • Maintain Food Handlers or Managers Certificate
  • Assist with other duties as needed
