Job Requirements
- Must have at least 1 year of professional kitchen experience
- Culinary training preferred
- Experience should include dishwashing, prep, cooking, and expediting
- If experience requirements are not met, can start as dishwasher or prep cook with career growth potential
- Must complete ServSafe training and certification prior to working on the line if not already certified
- Must have proficiency in kitchen operations
- Must have working knowledge of U.S. measurements, weight and volume
- Ability to follow instructions on safe use of chemical and cleaning materials
- Must work effectively with supervisors and coworkers with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to walk, lift, twist, bend, reach, and handle food products frequently
- Good communication skills
- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations positively
- Flexible availability including holidays and weekends
Job Qualifications

- Proficiency in kitchen operations and execution

- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, twist, bend, reach and handle food products regularly
- Ability to handle stressful situations positively
- Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus but not required
- Flexible working hours including holidays and weekends
Job Duties
- Prepare menu items accurately and promptly when ordered through point of sale system
- Make only items ordered through the point of sale system and act with integrity
- Accommodate special requests with management approval to enhance guest experience
- Prepare dishes according to recipes to maintain quality and consistency
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure simultaneous, high-quality, timely food delivery
- Remake items as instructed by supervisor or manager
- Adhere to food handler safety guidelines including temperature control, labeling, cross contamination prevention
- Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes and cleaning work areas during and after shifts
- Stock kitchen areas with dry products and prep materials and restock consistently
- Use FIFO system to keep food fresh and eliminate waste
- Maintain accurate waste logs for discarded items
- Keep supervisor and kitchen manager informed on inventory levels
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Work safely including use of cutting gloves and proper lifting techniques
- Lock and secure food and equipment
- Follow all opening, mid and closing procedures
- Attend and participate in trainings and meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned
