Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Culinary arts or culinary apprenticeship preferred
- One or more years of experience cooking in a fast paced, cook to order kitchen preferred
- One or more years of experience with scratch cooking preferred
- Sauté and/or broiler experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language
- Sufficient manual dexterity to use all kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods
- Ability to lift or carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform all essential functions within varying temperature ranges
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items such as meats, vegetables, potatoes, breads, and desserts according to quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure timely meal preparation
- Monitor and control food quantities to minimize waste
- Adhere to Grand Living's Sterling Touch® service standards
- Assist with inventory management and stock requisitions
