Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school education or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to frequently go up and down stairs throughout the shift while carrying up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to deal with guests in a professional manner while maintaining a composed demeanor in high stress situations
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
  • Frequent long periods of standing and walking are expected during the workday
  • Ability to reach for objects and stoop or bend as needed to perform job duties
  • This position may involve visual and auditory tasks, including the ability to see and hear adequately to perform job functions

Job Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to deal with guests in a professional manner while maintaining a composed demeanor in high stress situations
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Perform many basic tasks of food preparation and organization in the kitchen
  • Effectively communicate with other members of the kitchen staff
  • Report to duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform
  • Run the line during service, ensuring that the highest standards are met and that communication between all sections and restaurant departments are efficient and polite
  • Produce menu items for service, maintaining high standards to achieve the correct quality, appearance and portion size
  • Monitor the quality and presentation of dishes so that only those which meet our high standards are served to our guests
  • Ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained by following cleaning routines and through ongoing diligence during the shift and in set-up and clean-down procedures
  • Observe the company's fire plan and health safety policy
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives
