Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous cooking experience
- ability to work full-time hours including rotating weekends
- successfully complete background screening
- availability to work Monday through Saturday from 11am to 8pm and Sundays from 6am to 3pm
Job Qualifications
- proven cooking experience in a professional kitchen
- experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living settings preferred
- knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
- strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures
- ability to work rotating weekends
- good teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
- cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff
- ensure food is served simultaneously in high quality and timely manner
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work area
- follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- assist with inventory and stock management
- contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
