Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience
  • ability to work full-time hours including rotating weekends
  • successfully complete background screening
  • availability to work Monday through Saturday from 11am to 8pm and Sundays from 6am to 3pm

Job Qualifications

  • proven cooking experience in a professional kitchen
  • experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living settings preferred
  • knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • ability to work rotating weekends
  • good teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff
  • ensure food is served simultaneously in high quality and timely manner
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen work area
  • follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • assist with inventory and stock management
  • contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
