Job Requirements

  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • Use knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags to prepare various food items
  • Process foods using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers
  • Ensure items are cooked to chef and guest specifications
  • Garnish dishes properly
  • Maintain clean and sanitary workstation during and after service
  • Stock inventory properly
  • Ensure food is served simultaneously and timely
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
  • Demonstrate positive and professional attitude
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of experience in a similar style or volume restaurant
  • Comprehensive understanding of grilling techniques
  • Basic sushi preparation experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain positive and professional communication with coworkers and customers

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces
  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, dairy and other food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags
  • Process prepared foods using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers
  • Assure each item is cooked to chef and guest specifications
  • Garnish each dish properly
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, broilers, saute burners, ovens, flat-top griddles and refrigeration equipment during and after service
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and timely fashion
  • Assume responsibility for quality, food safety, sanitation and timeliness of products served
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
