Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous kitchen or cooking experience preferred but not required
  • ability to follow recipes and portion standards accurately
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

  • physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a professional kitchen preferred but training is available for motivated candidates
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tickets at once
  • strong attention to detail and pride in food quality and presentation
  • basic understanding of kitchen equipment and safety procedures
  • ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
  • flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook all menu items according to company recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelines
  • maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation throughout service
  • communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • follow proper food safety, holding temperatures, labeling, and storage procedures
  • assist with daily prep, station setup, and end-of-shift breakdown and cleaning
  • ensure all products are rotated properly using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method
  • uphold high standards of food consistency and quality during peak service times
  • report any equipment issues, product shortages, or safety concerns to the Kitchen Supervisor immediately
