Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years cooking experience
- maintain ServSafe Certification
- individual must be 18 years or older
- ability to read and understand English instructions
- ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- physical ability to perform cleaning and cooking tasks
- ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
- ability to communicate effectively
- willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications

- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or chart/diagram form
- maintain ServSafe Certification
- individual must be 18 years or older
Job Duties
- Attend all training including safety training and standard operation procedures as directed by management
- arrive at work timely according to posted schedule
- abide by established uniform guidelines
- practice efficient and effective procedures
- read and understand English to comply with function directions
- work as a member of the overall hotel team to exceed guest expectations
- maintain a "can do" and "guest first" attitude at all times
- report any maintenance issues to the front desk and complete maintenance slips
- operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and flat top grill
- portion uncooked and cooked foods according to portion standards
- heat, cook, and cool all foods according to health department standards
- prepare simple dishes, dressings, and food according to directions and prepare backup for service
- ensure proper temperature is maintained for all hot and cold foods
- avoid cross contamination by using separate, clean, and sanitized utensils
- respond promptly to guest requests
- report and resolve guest complaints regarding food service or quality
- assist in bussing tables, delivering meals, and maintaining counter and cooler areas
- label and package leftover food properly before storage
- maintain a waste log of all wasted or spoiled products
- keep kitchen areas clean and organized
- assist with kitchen clean-up including washing pots, pans, glassware, and flatware
- sanitize kitchen food prep areas and cutting boards daily
- clean and degrease kitchen equipment, walls, floors, filters, and exhaust fan hoods
- maintain proper sanitation of rags and cleanliness of hands
- sweep and mop kitchen as necessary
- clean floor drains, refrigerators, freezers, and walk-in units
- keep refrigerator and freezer gaskets clean
- maintain thermometers in all storage units
- segregate and remove trash to designated dumpsters
- notify ordering manager of limited food and supply inventory
- receive and inspect foodstuffs and supplies for quality and quantity
- store and rotate stock appropriately
- perform all other assigned duties
