Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience working as a lead cook in a high volume kitchen
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food safety program certification or food handler certification
  • Ability to lift and or carry up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stay on feet for long periods of time
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays
  • Maintain positive and professional attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years experience as a lead cook in a high volume kitchen
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Formal culinary training preferred
  • Food safety program certification or food handler certification
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and quality standards
  • Ensure all food preparation and cooking is completed in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to maintain efficient and timely meal service
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
  • Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members to ensure a positive dining experience
