Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior cooking experience in a related setting preferred
  • ability to complete background screening successfully
  • availability to work full-time hours including rotating weekends
  • ability to follow health and safety regulations
  • strong attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • experience cooking in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living setting preferred
  • proven cooking skills and knowledge of cooking methods
  • familiarity with ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • ability to work rotating weekends
  • strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff
  • ensure food is prepared and served simultaneously and timely
  • maintain high quality and hygiene standards in food preparation
  • assist in inventory control and food storage
  • follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • collaborate with team members to enhance customer satisfaction
