  • Previous experience in food preparation required
  • Experience in the restaurant industry is a plus
  • Bilingual preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare or direct preparation of all recipes in compliance with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
  • Prepare an extensive variety of cold and hot food items using standardized recipes
  • Prepare specially requested food items
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours maintaining excellence in quality, temperature and appearance
  • Utilize knives, hand tools, utensils and equipment to portion, cut, slice, broil, roast, carve, skewer, garnish, grill or maintain holding temperature of food
  • Comply with sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards, and proper food handling techniques
  • Keep Head Kitchen Chef informed of inventories
  • Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to manager
  • Report unsanitary equipment, storage, work areas or products to Head Kitchen Chef
  • Communicate with Lead Line Cook to efficiently facilitate customer orders
  • Follow federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations
  • Maintain a neat, organized and clean work area and clean equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
