Job Description

Maryhill Winery, established in 2001 by Craig and Vicki Leuthold, is a family-owned and one of the largest wineries in Washington State, producing approximately 80,000 cases annually. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen
  • food handlers card or SERV Safe/HACCP Certification
  • must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred knowledge of POS systems
  • proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen
  • knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
  • ability to work in a team and communicate effectively in a busy environment
  • strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions
  • excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • culinary school training is a plus
  • food handlers card or SERV Safe/HACCP Certification, preferred knowledge of alcohol serving laws
  • must be a minimum of 21 years of age

Job Duties

  • Present a warm, friendly, and enthusiastic service-oriented attitude
  • efficiently run a high-volume scratch culinary line operation while ensuring our guests receive the best food quality possible
  • organize and coordinate prep line
  • ability to accurately follow recipes and food specs
  • ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are being met by all staff
  • maintain a clean work environment
  • ability to self-manage and work independently
  • communicate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service
  • manage inventory levels and prep par level
  • maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • required to follow all safety procedures to ensure personal safety from potential hazards
  • other duties as assigned as it relates to the team environment
