Job Requirements

  • Ability to grasp, lift, and carry or move goods on hand carts/trucks weighing up to 100 lbs
  • manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment including knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, and slicers
  • ability to work in extreme temperature ranges and confined spaces
  • frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling
  • must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • two years cooking experience preferred
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations
  • understanding of service standards and guest relations etiquette
  • good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
  • knowledge of sanitation standards
  • proficiency in operating kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
  • basic mathematical skills for recipes and portion sizes
  • basic English comprehension to follow instructions
  • ability to apply written product labeling instructions
  • ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare daily preparation lists for production
  • read and employ math skills to follow recipes
  • prepare all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • visually inspect and select high-quality food items
  • check and control proper storage and portion control of products
  • keep refrigeration, equipment, storage, and work areas clean and compliant with health regulations
  • maintain all logs related to cooling, heating, and temperature
  • adhere to company policies and safety procedures
  • follow department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilize protective equipment and report unsafe conditions or accidents
  • provide a safe work environment
  • maintain neat and well-groomed appearance
  • perform related duties as requested
  • assist other kitchen personnel as needed
