Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years' progressive responsibility in a full-service restaurant, catering, healthcare, country club, hotel, or cruise line environment is helpful

Job Qualifications

  • Two years of progressive experience in a full-service restaurant, catering, healthcare, country club, hotel, or cruise line environment
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team setting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic culinary techniques and knife skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking equipment
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Collaborate with culinary team to plan and execute daily meal service
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management
  • Uphold Acts Retirement-Life Communities' food philosophy and culinary standards
