Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment beneficial but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift and transport cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day
- Ability to stand, bend and stoop for extended periods
- Adequate vision to discern cleanliness and operate a touchscreen
- Ability to follow rules and safety procedures consistently
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow
- Able to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves
- Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required
- Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment
- Mobility required during the entire shift
- Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others
Job Duties
- Prepare menu items according to Applebee's recipes, plate presentations and specifications
- Complete all assigned prep work
- Set up workstation according to station diagram
- Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times
- Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift
- Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects
- Work collaboratively with kitchen team members
