Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in cooking preferably in healthcare skilled nursing or senior living settings
  • Ability to work flexible hours including rotating weekends
  • Must successfully complete background screening prior to employment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • Experience cooking in a healthcare skilled nursing or senior living setting preferred
  • Proven cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking methods
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Flexibility to work rotating weekends

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for service including chopping vegetables butchering meat and preparing sauces
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff
  • Ensure food is prepared and served simultaneously and in high quality and timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
  • Follow all safety and health regulations
  • Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment
