Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years full-service restaurant kitchen experience
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to work nights
  • Strong understanding of cooking methods and procedures
  • Strong knife handling skills
  • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and follow cooking directions and instructions
  • Ability to remain calm in fast-paced environment
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and self-motivated
  • Team player
  • Ability to stand, bend, stretch, lift and carry up to 50lbs

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years full-service restaurant kitchen experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be able to work nights
  • Must possess strong understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills
  • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and follow cooking directions and other instructions pertaining to the position
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be organized with a self-starter and motivated work ethic
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, lift, and carry heavy materials up to 50lbs

Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • Know and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, saute burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment
  • Prepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sauteing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating
  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
  • Handle, store and rotate all products properly
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • Assist other areas in the Back of the House when needed
  • Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • Assist others in closing the kitchen
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty
  • Live the brand and be a brand ambassador
