Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged
- must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- ability to read, write and understand the English language
- sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen tools
- physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform tasks in varying temperature ranges
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or ged
- culinary arts or culinary apprenticeship preferred
- experience cooking in a fast-paced, cook-to-order kitchen preferred
- experience with scratch cooking preferred
- sauté and/or broiler experience preferred
- ability to read, write and understand English
- manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment and utensils
- physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform essential functions in varying temperature ranges
Job Duties
- prepare a variety of food items including meats, vegetables, potatoes, bread products, and desserts
- maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines
- collaborate with kitchen staff and executive chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- manage portion control and food inventory effectively
- ensure timely and courteous service to residents and guests
- maintain a clean and organized workstation
