Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One or more years of experience in food service
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary techniques
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to operate kitchen and restaurant equipment safely
  • Physical capability to maneuver within the restaurant and ascend or descend ladders or stairs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests

Job Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience working in high-volume and/or guest-facing food service preferred
  • Knowledge of proper food and drink handling and storage
  • Culinary experience or education preferred for sushi chefs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail in food preparation and sanitation
  • Good communication skills
  • Commitment to learning and continuing education in Japanese cuisine

Job Duties

  • Following company policies, state and food safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintaining clean and organized workstations by always practicing safe and sanitary food handling
  • Continued education surrounding Japanese cuisine and beverages
  • Performing additional duties as assigned specific to each position
  • Handling food and drink properly including storage and sanitation
  • Assisting in high-volume, guest-facing food service environments
  • Collaborating with kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely food preparation
