Job Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months experience in a full service, fine dining, upscale, country club or casual dining restaurant
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to demonstrate knife skills
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of proper steak cooking temperatures
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Reports to work on time and rarely misses scheduled shifts
  • Displays a positive, courteous and polite attitude
  • Takes pride in appearance and maintains proper uniform
  • Understands job responsibilities and has necessary skills
  • Follows AHC guest service standards
  • Participates in team meetings and communicates effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Takes pride in personal appearance and reports to work in complete uniform, wearing proper shoes and socks, professionally dressed and neatly groomed
  • Understands all facets of job responsibilities and has the skills necessary to complete tasks

Job Duties

  • Prepares, produces, heats, cooks, and bakes a variety of foods including soups, entrees, meats, vegetables, or foods specified by the AGPH and Ruth's Chris standards
  • Operates kitchen equipment such as electric mixers, slicers, ovens, fryers, stove tops, tilt-skillets, tilt kettles, warmers, and coolers
  • Utilizes kitchenware such as knives, spatulas, whisks, tongs, spoons, and ladles
  • Works swiftly and efficiently managing time productively through the shift
  • Assists in monitoring, reducing, and managing food waste
  • Knows each menu item, ingredients and allergens
  • Maintains clean and hygienic workspaces while adhering to Hilton, EcoSure, and Health Department standards
  • Performs daily, weekly, and monthly deep cleaning of kitchen facilities and equipment
  • Ensures proper station setup including food items, preparation equipment, plate ware, garnishes and supply items
  • Collaborates with kitchen staff and performs closing duties at the end of shifts
  • Actively participates in maintaining safety guidelines and promptly reports any unsafe incidents
  • Consistently recycles department items and disposables appropriately
  • Addresses guest concerns or department issues independently when possible
  • Follows all departmental rules and any additional responsibilities requested by management
