Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen
  • Food handler certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to work in a hot and wet environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a club, resort, or fine dining environment
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations, knife skills, and cooking techniques
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude
  • Food handler certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a hot, wet environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation specifications
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients before service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station and kitchen area at all times
  • Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality and consistency standards
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures in compliance with health regulations
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff to coordinate service
  • Assist with daily prep, inventory rotation, and storage of ingredients
  • Support banquet and event operations as needed
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
  • Follow opening and closing kitchen procedures as assigned
