Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of relevant cooking experience
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds
- Capable of standing and moving continuously during shifts
- Effective communication skills
- Compliance with sanitation and food safety standards
- Ability to work in varied temperature environments
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- One to two years of related experience in similar role
- Knowledge of cooking practices and kitchen procedures
- Ability to perform non-repetitive analytical cooking tasks
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Capability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Physically able to meet job demands including lifting and mobility
Job Duties
- Check all items against the recipe cards and verify use records
- Monitor the line set up prior to meal functions for efficiency
- Monitor equipment maintenance and enforce kitchen clean-as-you-go policy
- Prepare food consistent with recipe cards and production standards
- Start food items prepared ahead ensuring accurate quantity
- Date and rotate food containers as per SOP ensuring proper temperatures
- Check inventory pars, determine preparation needs, and note shortages
- Assist in stocking buffet and returning unused food to storage
- Participate in food cost control and waste reduction efforts
