Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One or more years of experience in food service or culinary roles
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move kitchen equipment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience working in high-volume and/or guest-facing food service preferred
  • Knowledge in proper food and drink handling and storage
  • Culinary education or 1-2 years culinary experience preferred for sushi chefs
  • Ability to work effectively in a noisy and distracting environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to continuous learning about Japanese cuisine
  • Ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Following company policies, state and food safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintaining clean and organized workstations by always practicing safe and sanitary food handling
  • Continued education surrounding Japanese cuisine and beverages
  • Additional duties may apply specific to each position
  • Working in a fast-paced full service restaurant environment
  • Communicating accurately with customers and team members
  • Preparing and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards
