Job Requirements

  • must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • pass all training tests with 90% or higher
  • acquire a knife set within 30 days of hire
  • dependable and report to work as scheduled and on time
  • follow all policies regarding scheduling and attendance
  • ability to stand and walk constantly
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
  • ability to reach outward and above shoulder frequently
  • ability to bend frequently
  • ability to wear personal protective equipment including facemask, non-slip shoes, back belt, and safety gloves
  • must maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, moderately noisy environment

Job Qualifications

  • six months prep cook experience within an HCR restaurant or minimum one year external line cook experience
  • ability to take care of customer needs while following company procedures
  • ability to complete tasks under stressful situations
  • ability to work safely by following all safety policies
  • ability to actively listen and communicate effectively with coworkers, guests, and management
  • ability to follow directions from supervisors and computer-generated tickets

Job Duties

  • read and understand recipes and POS generated tickets
  • cut foods as specified by recipe
  • weigh, measure, and prepare foods according to recipe specifications using station checklists, ensuring allergy considerations
  • prepare meats, vegetables, batters, sauces, and dressings according to recipes
  • bake or cook certain food items according to guest order and recipes
  • clean and sanitize all parts of the assigned station throughout each shift
  • assist others as needed
  • restock or breakdown assigned station before next meal period
  • communicate pertinent information to next meal period's line cooks
  • communicate food and equipment shortages to supervisors
  • maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • prepare and present menu items according to standardized plating cards
  • set up station according to daily checklist and Chef's direction
  • be dependable and follow scheduling and attendance policies
