Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of one year cooking experience in a busy full-service restaurant
  • passion for delivering superior customer service
  • open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of cooking experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
  • passion for excellence, superior service standards, and a positive attitude
  • open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift, including frequent bending, lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds, and stooping
  • ability to remain positive and productive in a potentially hot or cold work environment.

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies, ensuring proper inventory control
  • Cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff according to the Hogsalt Recipe Index, ensuring food quality and time standards are always met
  • Maintain a high level of communication, understand the verbiage for call backs of menu items, and keep lines of dialogue open and relevant to service
  • Answer, report to, and follow instructions and direction from Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or other leadership
  • Properly clean and break down station at the end of service, ensuring all food handling and food storage standards are met
  • Ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations at all times
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, leadership, vendors, and guests.
