Job Requirements

  • Some prior kitchen or culinary experience preferred
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and evenings

  • Current Food Handlers Card
  • Serve-Safe certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Follow Burger Lounge vision, mission and core values

  • Prepare food that honors guest requests, restrictions and modifications
  • Ensure onion rings, French fries and salads are prepared correctly and timely
  • Follow proper safety procedures and use the right tools
  • Use cut gloves properly when handling knives and cutting food
  • Load and run dish washing machine regularly and keep kitchen equipment clean
  • Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and work areas
  • Read and follow all prep lists consistently using tablet
  • Complete daily prep lists within timelines ensuring food quality
  • Fill-out labels correctly and label products accurately
  • Comprehend Burger Lounge recipes with basic or intermediate knife skills
  • Chop cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and slice potatoes
  • Prepare sauces and ensure sauce bottles are filled appropriately
  • Prepare proteins including beef, chicken, turkey, fish, and quinoa according to standards
  • Maintain inventory for salad and fry stations
  • Read tickets and time fryer item preparation with plating
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure it is operational
  • Assist with food temperature supervision
  • Assist in receiving, verifying and storing food and supplies following FIFO
  • Conduct back-of-house opening and closing tasks
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
