Job Requirements
- Minimum one year experience in a related field
- Food certification certificate as required by state, ServSafe required or in process
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Willingness to work for the best interests of the facility
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to food preparation and kitchen maintenance
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
- Ability to report personal health status changes promptly
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year experience in a related field
- Food certification certificate as required by state, ServSafe required or in process
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Residential healthcare experience strongly preferred
- CPR and standard first aid certification or in process preferred
- Proficiency in food preparation, regulation compliance and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively with food service team
Job Duties
- Assist with meal and food preparation
- Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and orderly storage in kitchen, dining, and food storage areas
- Check and complete temperature charts for refrigerators and freezers daily
- Utilize approved cleaning agents correctly in all food preparation, storage, and refuse areas
- Remove trash and refuse from kitchen, dining, and storage areas
- Safely operate kitchen equipment including meat slicers
- Inventory food service items and supplies as directed
- Conduct work in a safe and orderly manner
- Work cooperatively with others
- Report any changes in personal health to supervisor promptly
- Take responsibility for professional growth and development
- Perform other duties as assigned
