Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of cooking experience in an upscale or fine-dining high volume establishment
  • positive attitude, a sense of responsibility and ownership of the position
  • detail oriented with strong communication skills
  • team oriented with a strong sense of punctuality and reliability
  • basic understanding of recipe preparation, cooking and knife handling skills
  • understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • continuous reaching, bending, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • certified for food service as required by State and Local Agencies

Job Duties

  • Prepare dishes from scratch following the recipe to produce consistent results
  • know and comply with standard cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen practices
  • cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
  • portion all products, follow recipes and ensure plate presentation is aesthetically pleasing
  • set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • follow safety and sanitation standards, maintain clean and organized workstations
  • adhere to food service safety and sanitation guidelines as required by State and Local Agencies
