  • some prior kitchen or culinary experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment highly preferred but not required

  • good communication, organization and interpersonal skills
  • current Food Handlers Card
  • Serve-Safe preferred

Job Duties

  • follows Burger Lounge's vision, mission and core values
  • communicates well with others and uses friendly, respectful and professional language

  • ensures guests leave happier by preparing food that honors guest requests and restrictions
  • prepares onion rings, French fries and salads correctly and on time to maximize quality and guest satisfaction
  • follows all hand-washing and safety procedures, properly uses cut gloves
  • operates dish washing machine, keeps kitchen and equipment clean
  • cleans and sanitizes all work surfaces, utensils and work areas
  • completes daily prep lists within suggested timelines
  • fills out labels correctly and labels products accurately
  • comprehends Burger Lounge recipes and demonstrates basic or intermediate knife and kitchen equipment skills
  • chops vegetables, blanches potatoes, prepares sauces and proteins to standards
  • maintains inventory of items on the line
  • reads tickets and times fryer preparation with plating
  • ensures kitchen equipment is maintained and operational
  • supervises food temperature and proper storage
  • assists in receiving, verifying and storing food and supplies
  • conducts back-of-house opening and closing tasks
  • performs other tasks as assigned
