Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • at least two years of previous experience as a Line Cook or Carver
  • current local/state Food Handler's Training Certification
  • ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours
  • ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs
  • able to work weekends and holidays
  • excellent knife skills
  • basic math proficiency
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • physically capable of performing job functions
  • must wear required uniform
  • able to follow instructions
  • basic computer skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cook or food prep worker
  • ability to use knife and carve meat properly
  • satisfactory physical and mental health
  • ability to stand for up to eight hours
  • able to lift and push up to 50 lbs
  • available to work all scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays
  • capacity to multi-task and communicate effectively in English
  • able to work in a high volume environment
  • above average knife skills
  • basic math proficiency
  • able to wear required uniform
  • able to follow instructions carefully
  • capable of basic recipe following
  • at least two years of experience as a Line Cook or Carver in a high-end dining establishment
  • current local or state Food Handler's Training Certification
  • basic familiarity with computers and calculators
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • some college or culinary education beneficial

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with Chef and Sous Chef to prepare and improve menu items
  • prepare and cook food for guests and co-workers
  • comply with food safety handling policies
  • maintain a clean and hygienic work area
  • portion meats, fish, and produce as needed
  • operate cooking and preparation equipment safely
  • follow portion control and inventory maintenance procedures
  • communicate effectively with servers, managers, and kitchen staff
  • receive and inspect deliveries
  • stock beef cart for meal periods
  • ensure tools and equipment are in good condition
  • perform food carving and plate service
  • operate the Posi ordering system efficiently
  • expedite guest food orders quickly and accurately
