Job Requirements

  • Hold a current food handler card
  • Minimum of 2 years cooking experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • Good understanding of broiler and sauté cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of kitchen sanitation standards
  • Ability to operate various kitchen equipment
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic English proficiency
  • Ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 100 pounds and working in extreme temperature ranges
  • Ability to work flexible shifts as required
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per company standards

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current food handler card
  • Two years cooking experience preferred, especially broiler cooking
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
  • Understanding of service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
  • Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards
  • Experienced in operating kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
  • Basic math skills for recipes and portion sizes
  • Basic English language proficiency for communication and instructions
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
  • Ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers

Job Duties

  • Prepares daily preparation lists for production
  • Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • Prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • Visually inspects, selects, and uses only food items of the highest standard
  • Checks and controls proper storage and portion control of products
  • Keeps refrigeration, equipment, storage, and work areas clean and compliant with health regulations
  • Maintains logs for cooling, heating, and temperature
  • Adheres to company policies and safety procedures
  • Reports unsafe conditions and accidents to management
  • Assists other kitchen personnel as needed
