Job Requirements
- current Food Handler Card
- minimum 3 years cooking experience preferred
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations
- understanding of service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
- ability to operate kitchen equipment
- basic math skills
- ability to read and understand English instructions
- physical ability to lift or move items up to 100 lbs
- manual dexterity with kitchen tools
- ability to work in extreme temperatures and confined spaces
- availability for early morning shifts starting at 5 am
Job Qualifications
- hold a current Food Handler Card
- have 3 years of cooking experience preferred, broiler cooking preferred
- possess basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
- have good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards
- know how to operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
- have basic mathematical skills to understand recipes, measurements, requisition amounts, and portion sizes
- have basic knowledge of the English language to understand inquiries and communicate instructions
- ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling and operate beverage equipment
Job Duties
- prepares daily preparation lists for production
- reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
- prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
- visually inspects, selects, and uses only food items of highest standard
- checks and controls proper storage and portion control of meat and other products
- keeps refrigeration, equipment, storage, and working areas clean and compliant with health regulations
- maintains logs of cooling, heating, and temperatures
- adheres to company policies and safety procedures
- reports unsafe conditions and accidents to management
- provides a safe work environment by following safety rules
- assists other kitchen personnel when needed
- performs related duties as requested by management
