Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or resort
  • Safe serve certification or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and day and night shifts
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Good understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or resort
  • Safe serve certified or able to obtain
  • Experience working as a line cook in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety and hygiene
  • Passionate about culinary arts and creative cooking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances
  • Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
  • Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically able to stand and move around for long periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds

Job Duties

  • Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies
  • prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing
  • Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sauteing, and other cooking methods
  • Must be able to expedite tickets in timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
  • Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift
