Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Food Service Handlers card required
- Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques and/or a desire to learn
- Proven experience working as a cook
- Ability to follow recipes
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Effective communication skills

Job Duties
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items
- Prepare high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes
- Store excess food at the correct temperature in order to avoid spoilage
- Ensure that food portions and food presentation meet company standards
- Monitor par levels of inventory, report items needed to Sous Chefs
- Ensure that cooking utensils are clean before each use
- Clean and sterilize food preparation areas
- Assist other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner
- Efficiently resolve problems with customers' orders
- Prepare special orders for guests and accommodate food allergies strictly
- Ensure that food health and safety regulations are followed
- Engage and follow professional codes of conduct as outlined in the employee handbook at all times
- Master each station in the kitchen
