Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years progressively responsible culinary experience
- Previous hotel background preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Valid food handlers permit
- Must be available to work variable schedules including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, push, pull, bend, grasp, crouch, carry, and lift as required by the job
- Ability to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally
- Ability to exert up to 20 lbs of force frequently
- Ability to exert up to 10 lbs of force constantly
- Commitment to maintaining personal cleanliness and wearing prescribed uniform
- Drug free workplace compliance
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of food and beverage products, preparation and handling techniques
- Understanding of health codes, food sanitation and safety practices
- Basic mathematical skills for recipe measurements and portion sizes
- Principles and processes for customer service and guest satisfaction
- Ability to acknowledge and abide by company policies and brand standards
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with guests and staff
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and production guidelines
- Adhere strictly to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and kitchen area
- Monitor food stock levels and report shortages
- Assist in ensuring timely food delivery during service periods
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to meet guest satisfaction
- Follow uniform and personal hygiene standards as prescribed by company policy
