Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a line cook in a restaurant or professional kitchen
  • Passionate about food quality and presentation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to work extended shifts for culinary photoshoots
  • Food handlers certification
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach regularly
  • Visual acuity to read labels, packing slips, product literature, computer screens, and inspect goods for defects
  • Ability to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, hours 7:00am - 3:00pm or 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • Ability to work in a factory setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a line cook in a restaurant or other commercial kitchen, preferably with experience in presentation
  • Passionate about internal hospitality and supporting a positive culture
  • Keen eye and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to work extended shifts as necessary to support culinary photoshoots
  • Food handlers certification

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare a variety of foods according to guidelines to support eko's employee population
  • Create and cook a selection of meals to meet various dietary needs
  • Create a great employee experience through food
  • Cook and prepare a variety of foods that will be used in culinary photoshoots
  • Maintain a high level of presentation standard to meet photoshoot requirements
  • Maintain and foster a positive kitchen culture
  • Maintain safe use of all kitchen equipment including knives
  • Strictly adhere to all food safety policies and procedures and food storage regulations
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and sanitary kitchen
