Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant work preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform kitchen duties
  • Strong work ethic and team player attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to obtain Food Handlers Certification if not already certified

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a seafood restaurant or similar food preparation role preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Food Handlers Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Passion for seafood and culinary arts

Job Duties

  • Full knowledge of the food menu items and origin of live seafood
  • Ensure the kitchen is properly set up and stocked
  • Prepare dishes in accordance with Smashin Crab recipes for the following stations: Fry, Boil, Grill, Saute and Expo
  • Coordinate food preparation timing with other kitchen staff and stations
  • Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet all health and safety standards
  • Ensure all areas of the line are clean, stock inventory and supplies
  • Perform running side work, opening duties, and closing duties as required
  • Obtain and maintain Food Handlers Certification
