Job Description

Ned's Club Washington DC is a prestigious members' club located in the heart of the US capital. The club operates within the Riggs Building, a historic neoclassical style structure situated close to President's Park, directly opposite the US Treasury and near the White House. Since its inception, The Ned has grown to encompass a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants designed to provide like-minded individuals with spaces to meet, work, and enjoy exceptional hospitality experiences. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working in a professional kitchen
  • Ability to read and follow recipes
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including mornings and evenings
  • Eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Previous line cook experience in an operational kitchen
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques or cuisine types advantageous
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Passion for delivering exceptional food and guest service
  • Creative flair with willingness to assist in menu creation
  • Availability to work both AM and PM shifts

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve restaurant menus to guests and customers
  • Read and follow recipes to create dishes meeting Ned's Club standards
  • Set up station and complete assigned prep work following FIFO
  • Manage meal tickets efficiently during service
  • Collaborate with line cooks, chefs, front-of-house, and management to ensure smooth service
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety standards
  • Support next shift by prepping for upcoming service
  • Adapt to flexible shift patterns in a fast-paced hospitality environment
