Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- must take and pass all required training courses and continuous assessments
- willingness to obtain Food Handlers Certification
- 1-2 years experience in a like or similar position
- must understand and follow OSHA and HACCP compliance standards
- able to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach above shoulder level
- able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- effective communication skills
- ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures strictly
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work areas
- be a team player and assist fellow team members as needed
- show flexibility in schedule
- ability to work in hot and cold kitchen environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years experience in a similar line cook or kitchen position
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- knowledge of food safety procedures and standards
- commitment to completing required training and assessments
- willingness to obtain Food Handlers Certification
- physical ability to perform job duties including standing, bending, lifting
- flexibility in scheduling
Job Duties
- Prepare meals quickly and efficiently following Hawkers Asian Street Food standards
- communicate with team members and leadership about orders and product availability
- wash and clean raw food products
- maintain and properly use fryers including filtering and adhering to timed cycles
- follow QR's and Jolt system processes
- rotate products according to first in, first out to maintain shelf-life standards
- log and discard expired products
- keep par stocks at proper levels and minimize product waste
- perform routine tasks under leadership direction
- clean work area, equipment, and utensils
- ensure proper disposal of food waste
- maintain standards for food production, sanitation, and safety
- assist in training new and part-time personnel
- clean food preparation areas
- show flexibility in schedule and fill in as needed
- maintain high personal cleanliness
- support team members
- perform other duties as assigned
- obtain or maintain Food Handlers Certification and comply with OSHA and HACCP standards
