Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • active food handler's certification or ability to get it
  • willing to work day, night and weekend shifts
  • strong organizational skills
  • able to work independently
  • able to stand for long periods
  • able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • at least 21 years old
  • desire to exceed expectations
  • energetic personality

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook food according to established recipes and standards
  • develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods including grill, sauté and fry
  • use knives and various kitchen equipment competently
  • read and recreate recipes consistently
  • minimize food waste through cross utilization
  • prepare ingredients such as chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat
  • maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
  • ensure proper storage of food and other items
  • be responsible for the quality of ingredients
