Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in cooking preferably in healthcare or senior living
  • ability to work the specified hours including rotating weekends
  • successful completion of background screening
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • proven cooking experience preferably in healthcare or senior living
  • excellent understanding of cooking methods and ingredients
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety procedures

Job Duties

  • prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables and butchering meat
  • cook menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff
  • ensure food quality and timely service
  • maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
  • monitor inventory and report shortages
  • assist in menu planning and presentation
  • comply with all health regulations
