Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous culinary experience preferred
  • Must comply with food safety certification and training
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in heat-exposed environment
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
  • Must clock in and out timely and adhere to break schedules
  • Provide sufficient notice for call outs
  • Able to lift and handle kitchen supplies
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical dexterity for knife work and food preparation

Job Qualifications

  • Previous culinary experience in fine-dining or upscale restaurant or high-volume hospitality kitchen
  • Formal culinary training or apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Proficiency with knife skills and food preparation methods
  • Understanding of ingredient quality, seasonality, and proper food handling
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and improve
  • Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and execute standardized recipes consistently
  • Provide friendly service with a smile
  • Strong team collaboration skills under high-pressure service
  • Meticulous attention to plating, presentation, portion control, and food quality

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals according to brand standards and guidelines
  • Comply with food safety certification requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and work areas
  • Complete food and station preparations before restaurant opening
  • Know location and operation of all safety equipment
  • Assist in storage and rotation of food items following hotel procedures
  • Execute cooking methods with precision including proper temperatures, seasoning, and timing
  • Present dishes with attention to visual appeal and professional standards
  • Maintain efficient, clean, and organized workstation
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen team during service
  • Contribute ideas for recipe and process improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
